AQUA : One for Ten

One for Ten is a program to increase the awareness about healthy lifestyle living through the creation of access to clean water and education on health for the areas needing such activities. With the mechanism of: every 1L of AQUA (with special label), AQUA is committed to construct facilities which will give access towards 10L of clean water.

The aim of this program is because AQUA wanted to contribute in a proactive and sustainable manner to provide a solution towards the prevailing issue, including the difficulties to access clean water in Indonesia, by increasing the healthy lifestyle adopted by families. Aside from that, this program is in line with the Millenium Development Goals stated by UN to alleviate poverty and hunger in several parts of the world and targeted for the year 2015.

On the previous 2007 One for Ten program, AQUA has succeeded in providing more than 200 water sites both in Boking and North Amanatun municipalities in Nusa Tenggara Timus, which can help approximately 12,000 benefit receivers.



In this successfully-run program, there are 3 pillars developed:
Improvement of clean water access,
hygiene practices promotion, and
Community empowerment (from the planning up to the implementation) to ensure the project’s sustainability)

Still using the abovesaid three pillars, AQUA is committed to continue the success of 2007 One for Ten program, through 2009 One for Ten program. And choosing again the area receiver to be NTT, with the consideration that the previous program has succeeded in significantly contribute in increasing the communities’ quality of life.





In this year’s program, AQUA is helping more areas in NTT. If last year AQUA helped Boking and North Amanatun municipalities, this year the program will target Boking, North Amanatun, Toianas dan Noebana municipalities. There will be more people who can benefit from this program, around 18,900 people compared to last year’s 12,000 benefit receivers.
